Dirt Therapy Sprouts Hope

(Airdate: February 21, 2023) The Answer for Youth (TAFY), located in Port Angeles, is a drop-in center for homeless and at-risk community members under the age of 35. For nearly 14 years, Susan Hillgren, founder and director of TAFY, tells Missy Nielsen of Everybody Can that we “meet them where they are at.” Learn how this organization has responded through the years; from laundry services to holiday gatherings. Supported by their very own greenhouse sales at their “The Sprouting Hope Greenhouse”, clients can also get a bit of “dirt therapy”. Join us for this uplifting conversation.

Marine Wildlife Hospital

Solitary Soldiers of Service ~ Volunteering in the Shadows

More often than not, these folks choose to remain unnoticed. This campaign has vetted recipients, providing a focal point for donors to consider supporting these organizations with the assurance that their donations are stewarded well. Missy Nielsen speaks with Jenn Kingfisher, Director of Community Partnerships and Heather Dudley Nolette of Bayside Housing, one of the nonprofit organizations looking towards this funding to support their efforts in providing transitional housing and support. The Power of a Pen – Healthcare for All
