KPTZ is happy to announce Varelse performing live at the Quimper Grange on Saturday, June 24 at 7pm. Varelse is a contemporary folk fusion group with roots in traditional Scandinavian folk music. In addition, Varelse also draws inspiration from North American fiddle tunes, Western European melodies, as well as African and Middle Eastern rhythmic tradition to create a sound that pushes the boundaries of folk fusion.
