(Airdate: May 3, 2022) In 1935, a local businessman convinced Hearst Metrotone News to come and film the blooming rhododendrons in Jefferson County. Hearst provided “short subjects” to theaters throughout the United States. Thus was the inspiration for Port Townsend’s annual Rhododendron Festival.
