On Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 11am Pacific Time, radio stations across the country will unite to commemorate the life of Breonna Taylor and the many female victims of American police brutality. The date marks five months since EMT Breonna Taylor was wakened from her sleep and brutally murdered in her apartment by Louisville Metro Police Officers acting on bad information. No arrests have been made, no information has been shared, and two of the three police officers who were present that evening remain on the force.
On this day, KPTZ will pause from our normal programming to recognize the women who were stolen from their families and loved ones far too soon. Together we will celebrate the lives of these unique individuals, and recognize the pain their loss has caused their communities and use our voices to demand the justice they deserve.
Please tune in to hear one of Breonna’s favorite songs and a message from her family dedicated to those who demand equality and stand up for Justice worldwide.
