Welcome to KPTZ Staff!

Genevieve and Robyn at the Mountain View Campus last October.

KPTZ is pleased to introduce its two newest staff members, Genevieve Barlow and Robyn Purcell. “Genevieve and Robyn are important new additions to the dedicated KPTZ family, and we all are so pleased to have them on board,” says Kate Ingram, KPTZ General Manager. Genevieve is KPTZ Promotions Coordinator, handling community media partnerships and overall station publicity. Robyn is the station’s Development Director, in charge of Enhanced Public Service Announcements (EPSAs) and Underwriting.

Robyn moved to Port Townsend in 2016 and became part of KPTZ’s captive audience from the get-go. She opened a small bed and breakfast in 2018 and tuned into the station for guests to listen while breakfast was being served. She felt then that KPTZ’s programming was the perfect way to immerse visitors in the heart and soul of Port Townsend. In past lives, Robyn was a fundraiser for Nature Bridge; she served as Marketing and Communications Manager for Amazon; and as Program Manager for Hewlett-Packard.

Genevieve moved to Port Townsend after receiving a B.F.A. in Acting and Directing in 2018 from the University of Montana. She worked for the YMCA as Food Security Coordinator, leading numerous hunger relief programs in Jefferson County focusing on transportation and expanding family nutrition. Genevieve has worked for both local and national theater companies; she directed Men on Boats in 2019 and As You Like It in 2022. She is a founding member of a new Jefferson County Theater Company, and now works also as Alumni Network Coordinator for Centrum.
